Finding market demand really isn't that hard when you know how and here you will find a few different way of searching to see who's buying what. If you look for market research you will find many sites selling the information but I will show how to do it for FREE.
Ebay Market Demand - For Products
Ebay Pulse is a good tool to start with as it will show you top searches and most watched items on Ebay. What does this mean to you? Well you can see which products are in demand on ebay and set you niche around them. If products are HOT on ebay chances are people are searching the internet too. You don't need to sign up or sign in to get this information it's FREE.
Keyword Search Volumes
This method is one of the most popular method because it will show you how many times key words are being searched for the most every month. Example: The keyword "Poker" was searched for over 9.5 Million time last month. Knowing this you would NEVER want to try to compete for that key word.
The method I use for Keyword research is Google Adwords, No you don't have to spend any money there you can get the information for FREE. If you don't already, you need a Google Account, it's FREE too.
- Once signed up, login and go to Ad words.
- Select Opportunities then select the "Keyword Tool". At the time I wrote this, this was the path to find the "Keyword tool" but it does sometimes change. The main thing is you want to find the "Keyword Tool" in your Google Account.
- Once there you can enter any keyword into the "Word or phrase" box and hit search. This will show you what the competition is and how many people search world wide and locally for that key word in the past 30 days. VERY Powerful tool. This is a clear indication of demand and you just learned it for FREE.
